Take this practice outside. A street, a queue, a train platform. Somewhere with real noise and real people.
Notice five things you can see. Really look at each one before moving to the next.
Notice three things you can hear. A car, a conversation, your own footsteps.
Notice one thing you can feel. The ground, the air, the weight of what you're carrying.
The world doesn't need to cooperate first.
Keep walking, or keep standing in the queue, while you do it. This isn't a pause from your day. It's a way of being in it.
When you want to practise somewhere other than a quiet room.
